52 week sewing challenge – Week 12

This week it was time again to do some selfish sewing, because last weeks theme of the 52 week sewing challenge was to sew a women’s pattern! So I went on and tried a pattern I didn’t try before.

This fabric I had for quite a while now, and bought it with the intention to make myself a new shirt. Finally took some time to do so. I wanted to try the Flair pattern from The Wolf and the Tree (free with the code in their Facebook group).

I love a batwing sleeved top! And with this one you can choose from 6 different styles. You can vary both the lengt of the top aswel as the length of the waistband. Because of this you can choose for empire waist shirt, crop tops, dresses, tunics. Basically everything is possible! It’s nice to have such a versatile pattern.

The fit isn’t perfect though. I think it’s too tight around the waist en would probably size up the waistband next time to make it a more comfortable fit. But do love the overall impression from this shirt so with a different sizing I would probably make one once again in the near feature!
